My Quarantine Experience Part 1

So currently the entire world is under quarantine and well that sucks. Coming from New York, the city that never sleeps, I can tell you it been a tiresome time for the city and the people. How you would normally hear cars driving, and the sirens and all the people talking. Its almost as though everything just kind of went dark including all of the lights. If this quarantine wasn't happening right now I would be in school, or at my job, or somewhere other than my room, where I am currently writing this. But yet here I am stuck inside my house, to the where it almost feels like I'm fired to be here, that it's no longer a pleasure to have a roof over my head and be able to call this place my home.

Now as I'm being locked indoors that also means no socialization, so my phone has been getting used a lot. This being through video calls, and playing games, and going on social media to see whatever everyone else is doing during this time of loneliness. So there have been multiple virtual movie sessions, drink parties, game nights, you name it. However, also because of the lack of being outside, I've been around my family a lot. Now, this is something I haven't done in a while being that I just got back from living alone in Florida for a year and then the following two months being spent on College, so being home with my family 24/7 is definitely something new for me at the moment. So I can say that I am prone to whatever odors they or my dogs have brought into the home. But also lucky for my family I have amazon prime so they've been using it to the best of their ability right now. I can promise you whoever has stock in amazon is probably bathing in thousands of dollars cause that market has definitely gone up in the past couple of months. Of course, I have also been adding to this by buying some things that make me seem more like an old person in a younger person's body (I bought knitting needles and yarn). I came up with this idea that because I'm in quarantine I should be able to knit myself a blanket, it been about 2 months and I'm still working on it, but I am a quarter of the way there! In a way its been keeping my sanity at par, and also how every Saturday we've been having game nights. Not gonna lie, when you play cards against humanity with at least one of your parents there, the cards can either be a lot more funny or very embarrassing. But never the less it's still a fun time no matter what and these things have been keeping our minds off the fact that we've been stuck inside during this whole thing.
